چکیده

This material has two sections. The first section details the sampling equations used for inference in the model presented in the submitted paper. In the second section we provide more experimental results that could not be included in the main paper due to space restrictions. 1. Generative model and notations The graphical model is reproduced in Fig. 1. To make this a self-contained, we first recall the generative model, its notations and then provide the inference derivation. It corresponds to the following set of equations: Figure 1: Mixed Event Relationship Model: Shaded cicles represent observed variables. The arrows represent dependencies between variables. Colors green-blue-red are used to indicate dependencies used for a)all events, b)dependent and c)independent events respectively. The method of generating the event occurrence matrix is described as follows.

Designing a model for holding mega sport events with an emphasis on national brand development

The present study seeks a model for holding major sporting events with an emphasis on national brand development. The research method is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative. In the quantitative part, the statistical population, including professors and sports activists, and the statistical sample was done by stratified random sampling. Adequate number for modeling in pls software was 300 ...

Various Events Involved in Spatio-temporal Databases

In general, time has two kinds of semantic, i.e., time-scale semantic and event-sequence semantic (Shu Hong, 1998). In spatio-temporal databases (STDB), time-scale semantic refers to the time positioning of geographical objects, and event-sequence semantic to spatial and thematic change description. Here event and change are alternatively termed without further meaning distinction. Almost a dec...

Attribute Multiset Grammars for Global Explanations of Activities

Most activity recognition techniques focus on recognizing a single activity given a video sequence. Realistic surveillance involves multiple interleaved activities, often extending over a long temporal duration. In these situations, the activities are often mutually constrained. For example, a person entering a building can be observed departing only once at a later time. In visual interpretati...

Uncertainty Modeling Framework for Constraint-Based Elementary Scenario Detection in Vision Systems

Event detection has advanced significantly in the past decades relying on pixeland feature-level representations of video-clips. Although effective those representations have difficulty on incorporating scene semantics. Ontology and description-based approaches can explicitly embed scene semantics, but their deterministic nature is susceptible to noise from underlying components of vision syste...
